The Community Chamber Orchestra is inviting experienced string players on violin, viola, cello, and bass to join them on Fridays from 6:30-8:00 pm in the Morganville Community Room to prepare for a ticketed classical concert on Friday, May 17th at the Morganville School.
The concert will feature KSU’s violin/viola faculty and DMA candidate Madeleine Jansen on Dvorak’s “Romance,” and also include some of her KSU students as guest musicians. In addition, the Orchestra will play string works by Mozart, Barber, and Telemann.
The Chamber Orchestra plays without a conductor and pays its players. Musicians from many areas of North Central Kansas have participated since 1997.
Current musicians are from: Linn, Clyde, Clay Center, Morganville, and Manhattan. For more information go to kansasmusic.net.
