Tonight, the Clay Center Cub Scout Pack 55 will be holding their annual pinewood derby at the Family Life Center.

Cub Master Jess Borgerding of Pack 55 says the pack first got their kits in December:

Once the scouts are done building their car, they will send them down the track to see who’s the fastest. There are prizes for 1st and 2nd place racers, as well as a pack-wide vote for best in show. Borgerding says the Pinewood Derby is one of the pack’s favorite events:

Tonight’s races will start at 6:30pm at the Family Life Center.
