As previously reported, Discovery Land Services is seeking permits to search for and obtain hydrogen in 7 counties in Northeast Kansas, including Clay, Cloud, Dickinson, Ottawa, Marshall, and Washington. The permits are needed for seismic testing, where special equipment is used to record information obtained from energy waves sent into the earth.
A meeting hosted by Discovery Land Services for the public is scheduled for January 30th at the Clay County Event Center at 205 South 12th Street in Clay Center, KS. A spokesperson for the company said that they will have a slideshow presentation to explain the project, and they will pass around a microphone and answer questions from those attending. Refreshments will be provided beginning at 5:00 p.m., and the event will take place from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
