Clay Center’s Halloween Howl is set to fill the downtown streets with costumes, candy, and community spirit on Thursday, October 31st, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Local businesses will open their doors to trick-or-treaters of all ages, handing out candy and goodies to mark the Halloween season. Kathryn Doster, one of the event organizers, shared details about the event, highlighting the range of participants and the festive atmosphere expected for this year.
According to Doster, the Halloween Howl will involve not only downtown businesses but also other local organizations that will participate in a “trunk-or-treat” setup around the square.
“It’s a fun way for the community to come together, see all the kids dressed up, and celebrate Halloween safely,” she said.
While many businesses will be distributing treats, other participating organizations that aren’t based downtown will bring their vehicles to the square to hand out candy from decorated car trunks. Doster mentioned that this has become a beloved tradition for the community, drawing families downtown each Halloween.
The event will run solely downtown, making it a convenient, family-friendly option for locals to enjoy the festivities. Organizers also extend their gratitude to the sponsors who make the event possible, underscoring the community’s commitment to creating memorable experiences for residents. For more details on the Halloween Howl, residents are encouraged to check for updates from local businesses and organizers.
Mark your calendars for a lively afternoon of treats, costumes, and fun, as Clay Center celebrates Halloween with another successful Halloween Howl.
