Clay County Medical Center is pleased to announce the return of Dr. Christopher
Worthen to active duty following his recovery from a medical episode earlier this year.
In January, Dr. Worthen experienced a seizure that led to fractures in both shoulders and four
vertebrae. After several months of healing and rehabilitation, Dr. Worthen is now fully recovered and
will resume seeing patients beginning May 1st.
“I am pleased to announce my return to work on May 1st,” said Dr. Worthen. “I suffered a seizure in
January, which resulted in fractures of both shoulders and four vertebrae. Fortunately, I have
recovered well and am feeling good. I am grateful for the support of the community and my
coworkers during this time. I am excited to resume caring for the community and my patients.”
The entire team at Clay County Medical Center is thrilled to welcome Dr. Worthen back. His
expertise, compassion, and dedication to his patients are invaluable assets to the hospital and the
broader community.
