Something new is coming to this year’s 3rd of July Celebration in Clay Center.

Kathryn Doster-Tipsword, Events Coordinator at Grow Clay County, said, “Imagine this. You’re outside on a hot summer day, and suddenly, you’re standing in a huge pile of bubbles – like a mountain of foam that’s taller than your knees, and maybe even over your head if you’re short like me. That’s what the Foam Zone is going to be like at this year’s Independence Day Celebration at the Clay County Fairgrounds.”

The Foam Zone will have a machine that sprays out tons of foamy, soapy bubbles. “It’s wet, it’s hilarious, and it’s one of the most fun things ever,” said Doster-Tipsword.

It will start at 5:00 pm on July 3rd, the same time as the Community Water Fight.

The Foam Zone will be set up on the East side of the water area, so participants can run back and forth between getting soaked and sudsy.

Doster-Tipsword said this is the kind of thing that people will remember all summer. Just be ready to get messy and have fun! The Foam Zone is for all ages, even adults who want to act like kids again.

“So, bring your friends, wear something you don’t mind getting wet, and get ready to laugh a lot. It’s going to be awesome!”
