The Wakefield Bombers were shut out at home on Friday night, falling to the Frankfort Wildcats by a score of 60-0 in a non-conference matchup. Frankfort, now 6-1 on the season, took control early and never looked back, keeping Wakefield off the scoreboard for the entire game.
Wakefield, whose record drops to 2-5, struggled to generate offense against Frankfort’s defense and couldn’t gain any momentum throughout the contest. Frankfort, on the other hand, continued their strong form in non-league games, improving to 4-0 in those matchups.
Despite the loss, Wakefield remains unbeaten in district play and will aim to bounce back in their next district contest. Frankfort continues their push for postseason success as they prepare for the remaining games of the season.
