Clay County will hold its annual Relay for Life Event on Friday, August 9th at the Clay County Courthouse Square.  The event will run from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a variety of activities throughout the evening.

Activities include: a corn hole tournament, music by Rick Stanley, snow cones available from The Chilly Hillbilly, a drawing for earrings from Hoover Jewelers, an Elk Rider’s Benefit Poker Run, and a duck dive, with contestants having a chance at great prizes. Linda Underwood, Chair of Relay for Life, said they’d been doing the duck race for 14 years, which has recently been changed to the duck dive.

The duck dive will take place at 8:30 p.m. on the Square. There will also be a radio auction happening all day on KCLY Radio. Proceeds from the various events go to Relay for Life.
