Great Turnout for Clay Center Tiger Football Jamboree

By Jayson Henderson

The Clay Center Tiger Football Jamboree on Friday, August 30th, saw a fantastic turnout, with the stands filled on both the home and visiting sides, as supporters from Riley County, Valley Heights, and Republic County came together to cheer on their teams.

The event featured scrimmages with two matches happening simultaneously on both sides of the field. Each team had the opportunity to run offensive and defensive reps for both junior varsity and varsity squads. After each match, the teams were mixed up, giving players a chance to face different opponents and build experience.

The night was more than just about football; it was a community event. Fans enjoyed a pulled pork or hotdog meal while watching the action. For those who attended the youth camp, a special table was set up where they could pick up their Tiger football wristbands. Additionally, the team store was open, with new items available at the MAC during the jamboree.

The evening set the stage for what promises to be an exciting football season ahead.
