Grow Clay County’s Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet is set for Saturday, February 21st, at the Clay County Event Center in Clay Center. This year’s theme, ‘Boots & Bling,’ invites guests to dress up in their favorite western attire for a glamorous evening.

The evening will begin with a social hour at 5:00 p.m. Kathryn Doster-Tipsword, Event Coordinator, spoke about this year’s event.

“This Western Glam evening will be one to remember, filled with celebration, recognition, and standout moments honoring the stars of our business community. It is your time to saddle up and shine.”

“We’ll have a social hour, followed by dinner, then we’ll have the awards ceremony.”

“We also are also planning on doing a live auction after we do dinner, the awards, and the entertainment.”

This year’s entertainment will be Western singer and entertainer Jeff Davidson. Davidson brings the history of Kansas to audience members through music and storytelling, capturing the heart of the West.

Tipsword said they plan to present nominations in early February to those up for an award. Tickets are currently on sale through February 13th.
