Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks Rescues Bald Eagle in Clay County

Over the weekend, game wardens with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks responded to reports of an injured bald eagle in Clay County.

Lt. Alexander with KDWP was able to locate the eagle and safely transport it to Operation Wildlife in Linwood to be evaluated.

The eagle was found to have a pelvic injury, likely caused by being hit by a vehicle.

The eagle remains in the care of the wildlife rehabilitation center to further assess its injuries.
