Kansas Reading Magician Brings Vibrant Magic to Local Library’s “Color Your World” Summer Reading Program

Dan Dan the Magic Man, the beloved traveling Kansas library magician, is set to dazzle young readers and their families with a kaleidoscope of magic and imagination. As part of the 2025 Summer Reading Program, themed “Color Your World,” Dan Dan will bring his vibrant blend of comedy and magic to the annual Summer Reading Program on July 11th at 2pm at the Rex Theatre in Clay Center.

Each summer, Dan Dan journeys across Kansas, accompanied by his magical children as assistants and a real live magical bunny, creating unforgettable experiences. This year, as he embarks on his 25th summer reading tour, expect a spectacle of colorful surprises and captivating storytelling. His magically fun performance is designed to thrill children of all ages, while also entertaining parents and grandparents. As always, Dan Dan the Magic Man’s shows are highly interactive, inviting children to actively participate in creating the magic!

The Summer Reading Program provides local children with the opportunity to enhance reading skills, engage in enriching activities, and discover the wonders of their local public library. Research consistently demonstrates that children who maintain reading habits throughout the summer achieve greater academic success in the fall. Summer reading events, such as Dan Dan’s magic show, make reading an exciting and appealing adventure for young minds.
