Kansas Wildlife and Parks Respond to Call of Poached Deer

On their Facebook page, the Kansas Wildlife and Parks – Game Wardens page shared that on November 25th, The Dickinson County Game Warden responded to a call about a poached deer. The deer, found in southern Clay County about 2 1/2 miles Northwest of Manchester just off Frontier Road, was a headless buck that appeared to have been shot with a rifle.

The poaching occurred sometime between 5:30 p.m. on November 22nd and 8:00 a.m. on November 23rd, Thanksgiving Day.

Anyone with information that could help with the case or identify individuals involved with the poaching are encouraged to call Game Warden Silhan at 785-452-0478.
