Clay Center had a great weekend at their Super Regional in McPherson; qualifying six for the State Championships in Salina on February, 28th and March 1st. The Lady Tigers were led by the lone senior on this year’s team Gabi Koppes. Koppes pinned her way into the championship match and won a Major Decision 10-0 for the 125-pound Regional Title over Gracelyn Hembree of Pratt. Koppes is now a Three Time Regional Champion; with an undefeated high school record and was named the Outstanding Regional Wrestler in McPherson. Lady Tiger qualifiers also include Ezri Catlin who finished 3rd at 120; 105 Brooklyn Gordon 8th; 115 Chloe Rott 6th; 130 Evelyn Farley 7th; Skylet March 7th.
