Lady Tigers Place Fifth at Concordia Golf Tournament

The Clay Center Lady Tigers golf team finished fifth at the Concordia tournament on Tuesday with a total score of 493. Emma Frigon led the team, shooting 58-51 for a total of 109, earning her a third-place medalist honor.

Other scores for the Lady Tigers included Addy Graham with 122, Ezri Catlin with 123, and Gabi Koppes with 139. Coach Dick Ahlberg commented on the team’s performance, saying, “We did OK today in our first tournament of the season. This time of the year, it is all about gaining experience.”

Concordia took first place with a score of 451, followed closely by Rock Creek at 454 and Marysville at 455. The Lady Tigers will compete again on Tuesday, September 10, at Salina Central with a 2:00 p.m. start time.
