On Friday, May 10th Lincoln Elementary School in Clay Center held its first-ever Color Run for all students as a way to celebrate the end of the school year.
Kindergarten through 3rd-grade students, teachers, and staff members took turns lining up at the crosswalk in front of the school nice and clean, taking off as the horn signaled them to go. After running the almost three-quarter mile course runners were tired and full of color as they crossed the finish line.
A couple of students from Mrs. Young’s 2nd-grade class said they enjoyed all the colors and popsicles at the end.
Lincoln Elementary’s current school year comes to an end on Thursday, May 16th.
