Lincoln Elementary Principal Matt Weller Selected For New Joint USD379 Clay Counts Coalition Position

By Quinn O’Hara

Lincoln Elementary Principal Matt Weller has been selected to fill a new district communications position in a partnership between the Clay Counts Coalition and USD379.

The new position, funded by a recently received drug-free-communities grant, will allow the Clay Counts Coalition and USD379 to better their efforts in community outreach and engagement.

Weller says because this is a new position for the district, the specifics of his duties are still in the works:

The Clay Counts Coalition portion of the new position will include attending related training, maintaining and writing new grants, serving and assisting youth community partners, and other duties as needed.

For now, Weller says his responsibilities as principal remain unchanged, but there will be some adjustments as the school year progresses:

USD 379 has already begun looking for a new Principal for Lincoln Elementary to replace Weller. Those interested in the position can visit the USD379 website and click “Employment Application” at the bottom of the page for more.
