The Clay Center Community Improvement Foundation’s (CCCIF) Gather for Good Match Day is less than a month away. Set for Thursday, September 18th, this day will offer a 50% match with every donation to an eligible fund. CCCIF is pleased to announce that this year, eligible organizations will be eligible to receive up to $2000 in matching funds.

Krista Thomas, CCCIF Executive Director, spoke about where the match money comes from.

“$1000 of the matching dollars comes directly from CCCIF, and that money comes from community donors, along with some local businesses that support us.”

“The second $1000 of the matching dollars comes from our Patterson Family Foundation Grant.”

For this one day, any money donated to a local nonprofit will be matched at 50%. For example, a donation of $100 will receive a $50 match, making that donation worth $150. Each fund will receive a 50% money match per donation up to $2000, meaning a total of $4000 will be matched per fund.

Donations must be made on September 18th, from midnight to 11:59 p.m. Thomas spoke about alternative ways people can donate.

“If you are considering donating with a Gift of Grain, a Donor-Advised Fund, through an IRA, or from Stocks, you will definitely want to be talking to your financial advisors and your accountants to get that prepped and ready to go before Match Day on September 18th.”

To get more information on ways you can donate or on how your funds will be matched, contact Thomas or any CCCIF Board member.
