The Clay Center Community Improvement Foundation (CCCIF) is thrilled to announce a new anonymous donor’s $500,000 matching challenge grant towards the Multi-Generational Life Center, which has recently been approved to be built by the Clay Center City Council.

This matching grant donation means that every dollar that is raised from now until November 1, 2025, will be matched by the anonymous donor, up to $500,000, making the total donation $1,000,000.

If $500,000 is raised by the community in the next two months, the matching $500,000 donation will mean the Multi-Generational Life Center project can be fully completed, including three childcare classrooms, a Pawnee Mental Health facility, a youth lounge, a senior center, two full gyms with a two-lane walking track, a multipurpose party room, and a fully functional commercial kitchen.

There are multiple ways to make a donation. You can donate online at growclaycounty.org, bring a check into Grow Clay County, or you can donate at Gather For Good Match Day on Thursday, September 18. Be on the lookout for Venmo options soon. Donation boxes will also be placed at various business locations around town. Even a $5 donation gets matched and doubled.

Various naming rights are still available, including new options that were just posted on growclaycounty.org.

The Clay Center Multi-Generational Life Center is envisioned as a vibrant space promoting health, wellness, connection, and lifelong learning for individuals and families across Clay County. We invite individuals, families, and businesses to join in matching this anonymous donor’s generosity!

A ground-breaking ceremony for the facility will take place Friday, September 26 at 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend. The project is set to be completed by August 2026.
