A new bookstore has opened for business in downtown Clay Center. Named after the intersection where it lays, 4th & Court Used Bookstore & Makerspace began as a three-day pop-up shop in the same space at the beginning of August 2023. With an overwhelming amount of support from the community, Audrey Kiem decided to take the next steps to make the shop a permanent fixture of the downtown area. Kiem explains her goals behind the operation:

4th & Court is open Mondays and Thursdays 5-8 pm, and Saturdays 10 am-2 pm. Stop by for a cup of coffee, a good book, and to chat with local artists about their displays! Kiem is also planning on hosting several events each month, so be sure to follow the 4th & Court Facebook page for updates.
