The Phil Vandel Band is set to perform at the Clay County Free Fair on Friday, July 26th at 8:00 p.m. Phil Vandel is a country music artist who has performed throughout the world and with countless musical artists and actors.

Vandel and his former Band, Dixie Cadillacs, were inducted into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame in 2021. Vandel said he started singing and songwriting when he was 13 years old.

Vandel said their job as performers is to connect with the crowd, relating his songs to people and their memories. He said music is the vessel he uses to communicate with the audience.

Vandel said one of his biggest passions is giving back to those who served our country. He has traveled to Bahrain, Germany, Iraq, and Kuwait to perform for the soldiers there during the Iraq War.

Vandel said they are looking very forward to being here and hopes that everyone in the community will come out and support them and the Fair. More information on Vandel can be found at https://www.philvandel.com.
