On Tuesday, February 20th at 6:00 pm, the River Valley District will be holding a “Preparing the Calf for Market” Program at the Clay County 4-H Conference Center on the Fairgrounds.
As Kaitlyn Hildebrand, Livestock Production Agent for K-State Research & Extension states, this two-part program is designed to help producers from start to finish.
The program will cover various topics, including: calf loss, keeping the calf alive and healthy, nutritional values, along with strategies on marketing cattle for sale. With two different experts presenting.
