Rural Development Group, LLC to Start work on Moderate Income Housing in Near Future

On Monday, February 26th an announcement was made by Grow Clay County sharing that Clay Center has been awarded a $650,000 Moderate Income Housing Grant to build 9 new homes in Clay Center with the partnership of Austin and Michelle Gillard of Rural Development Group, LLC.

The Gillard’s have been working with Grow Clay County for around 6 months on this endeavor. Austin says they have always been in discussion with Grow Clay County about how to continue to grow housing in the area.

Rural Development Group is the upfront investor, purchasing the lots, utilities, etc. Enabling the project to get started.

Michelle says that they plan to break ground on the first lot in April or May.
