Santa Fly-In 2024

By Rhys Baker

In a long-standing Clay Center Christmas tradition, Santa Claus will be flying in this week to visit the Clay County Courthouse Square. Santa’s executive planner extraordinaire, Kathryn Doseter Tipsword, tells us the details of Santa’s plan, “He will be coming from the North Pole on Friday, November 29th at around 11 AM at the airport here in Clay Center. He will walk around and visit with the kids, and then the Clay Center fire department will take him down to his house on the courthouse square in a fire truck.”

Santa flying to Clay Center from the North Pole is a 24-year-plus tradition that kicks off the Christmas season. He will be available from fly-in until 3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to hear Christmas wishes.
