Several Clay Center Road Construction Projects Finished, Last 3 Expected to Begin Soon

Several road construction projects in Clay Center have wrapped up.

Construction on the following roads has been completed: from Court St. to 3rd St., 5th St. from Garfield St. to Franklin St., 5th St. from McBrathney St. to Sherman St., McBrathney St. from 4th St. to 6th St., McBrathney St. from 12th St. to 14th St., Harriet St. from 9th St. to 12th St., and a road patch on 12th St. near Clay Center Community High School.

Clay Center City Councilmember Daton Hess said remaining road repair projects include work in Clay Center’s Ryan Addition and 12th St. from E Crawford St. to just past Huntress St. Additionally, Hess said the final portion of this year’s CCLIP project, which will repave asphalt on Clay Center’s portion of Highway 15 from Sherman St. to Garfield St., is expected to begin within the next two weeks.
