Construction on the South River Bridge south of Clay Center is taking longer than expected. Construction was originally planned to be completed in December, however, a lot more damage was found, adding days to the contract. Plans to switch traffic were to take place in about two weeks but now that won’t happen until October or early November. KDOT said they also may have to change their approach to some of the repairs, so as of now a completion date is unknown.
