Survey Seeking Numbers On Wakefield’s Childcare Needs

By Quinn O’Hara

On December 15, 2023, several Wakefield residents met together at the Wakefield Quality of Life Meeting to discuss the community’s needs and wants.

Two surveys were produced from that meeting addressing the needs for housing and childcare respectively, and were released on February 13th.

Melissa Sanchez is the Chair of the Wakefield Childcare Committee and helped to coordinate the childcare survey alongside Grow Clay County’s Director Natalie Muruato.

Sanchez said the short survey aims to assess Wakefield’s need for childcare and collect necessary data.

Sanchez said it is important to get as many responses to the survey as possible.

Sanchez said the data collected from the survey will be used to inform potential projects or efforts in the future.

The Wakefield Childcare Survey is available through the link below. Those who prefer a paper copy can find them at Wakefield City Hall. Both the childcare and housing surveys will no longer accept responses after March 31.
