Justin Tadtman’s Farm Bureau Financial Services in Clay center is hosting a community scavenger hunt for the second year in a row.
Farm Bureau Sales Associate Reneé Langvardt said the idea for The Great Clay Center Scavenger Hunt came from national scavenger hunt day.
Langvardt said after drawing a large crowd last year, she decided to hold a second.
This year’s hunt will start on May 22nd and end on May 31st.
This year’s event is slightly different, however. This hunt will feature 12 new locations, and according to Langvardt, the clue questions will be slightly harder. Additionally, instead of signing your name on the location tracking card, participants will need to place one of the unique stickers found at each location onto the card to prove they found the right place. Langvardt will also hide a painted rock at each location which can be brought to the Farm Bureau office and exchanged for a special prize.
The cards used to mark participants’ progress can be found at the Farm Bureau office and once complete can be redeemed for a free scoop of ice cream at Simply Scoops in downtown Clay Center.
Langvardt said she’s excited to get folks moving around town and exploring places they might not have been before thanks to The Great Clay Center Scavenger Hunt
