The Rex Theatre in Clay Center is organizing the first Clay Center Showcase to feature local talent.
Reneé Langvardt, the Managing Director of The Rex, said she is trying to steer away from the competition style of talent shows held in the past.
Langvardt said she wants to give artists of all kinds a chance to showcase their work and talents.
Langvardt said she plans to have the Clay Center Showcase sometime this July. Those interested in participating will be asked to fill out a google form to register. The form will be available at a later date.
Langvardt said the ‘Showcase’ portion of the event’s name comes from a desire to give all a chance to showcase their talent on stage- not just performing arts, but other types of art as well.
