The Tigers Find A Way At Council Grove

By: Rocky Downing

For the second straight game, the Cardiac Kids did it again; winning a nail-biter 57-55. The Tigers trailed by three after one quarter but took a 37-34 lead into halftime. They led the entire half until the Braves tied it late at 55-55. The Tigers were then fouled with 1.7 seconds left and senior Isaac Berggren stepped to the line and calmly buried both free throws for the win! Nine different Tigers were in the scorebook; led by Cole Pladson who hit 4 first-half 3-pointers leading to a game-high 18 points; Weston Hammond and Berggren both had 8; 6 each from Jace Weller and Anthony Davies; Abram Stratton-5; Brett Hoffman-2; Colten Tadtman-2 and Eisaac Girton-2. Weller had an impressive line leading the team with 6 rebounds to go along with 7 assists and just one turnover. The Tigers are now ranked #10 in 4A (14-4) and get set to host Rock Creek Friday night on Senior Night.
