The Clay Center Community Improvement Foundation (CCCIF) is hosting its 7th annual match day to benefit non-profit organizations in the Clay Center Community. Patterson Family Foundation, Kansas City, and United Bank and Trust, Clay Center have contributed money that enables CCCIF to match fifty percent of donations with a maximum of two thousand dollars per organization. For example, if ABC Non-Profit received a $100 donation during match day, CCCIF would donate 50% matching funds or an additional $50. ABC Non-Profit would then receive a $150 donation.
Clay Center Community Bank President for United Bank and Trust Maria Pfizenmaier says, “By providing matching funds, we feel that we’re able to support the goals of all the organizations that are seeking donations and not just one or two in particular, as they all benefit the community. United Bank and Trust wants to help as many non-profit organizations as we can.” United Bank and Trust have been donating since 2021, agreeing to donate $50,000 over five years.
Donations to the 47 eligible organizations on the Gather For Good Match Day can be made in person during the live event at the Clay County Museum by cash, check, or credit card from noon to 8 pm on September 19th. Additional forms of payment, such as mailed checks, donor-advised funding, gifts of grain, IRA funds, and shares of stock, can all be made by contacting the Clay Center Community Improvement Foundation via their website at www.GatherForGoodCC.com.
Funds collected during match day are an outright grant and may be used as needed. Nonprofits may choose to establish their endowment or use them for day-to-day operating expenses.
