Updated Ordinance Gives Wakefield Residents More Time To Light Fireworks Around Fourth of July

An updated city ordinance has given Wakefield residents more time to light fireworks around the Fourth of July.

During the monthly Wakefield City Council Meeting on June 4, Wakefield Mayor Leza Chryssovergis signed City Fireworks Ordinance 1354 into law. The adjusted ordinance will allow for the lighting of fireworks to take place within city limits on July 1 and 2 until 10 pm, July 3 and 4 until midnight, and July 5 until 10 pm
