On Wednesday, April 17th USD 379 School Board Members held a Special Meeting at 6:00 p.m. All members were present, except Linda Sleichter.

Mike Teeter, Bud Young, Laurel Affolter, Jordan Carlson, Nichole Weller, and Lisa Last gave a presentation on the Credit Recovery Process and took questions from the Board.

The Board discussed options and costs of upgrading and adding security measures in the District. They also discussed using the proper chain of command, per policy for concerns and complaints presented.

The Board also discussed and approved the Hirings, Resignations, and Terminations of USD 379 staff, including the Hirings of: Jessica Ramirez as Wakefield Counselor, Austin Last as the CCCMS ELA Teacher, and Heather Isbell as an SLP from the Twin Lake Educational Cooperative. All hirings go into effect in the 2024-2025 School Year. All personnel motions were unanimously approved.
