On Monday, December 11th, USD 379 held their regular monthly board meeting.
The meeting’s unofficial minutes states that:
The board approved an activity fund for middle school NCKL League athletics that looks to streamline and reduce the amount of financial transactions between schools and vendors. The board says each league school contributes $1,000 annually to the fund to ensure the equitable sharing of expenses across schools.
The board plans to host a meeting with the Kansas Association of School Boards on February 1st. The purpose of the meeting will be to review school board governance and develop a consensus on procedures for handling board business.
Matt Weller, the Principal at Lincoln Elementary in Clay Center, has been approved to be the Community Engagement Coordinator for the Clay Counts Coalition and USD 379. Mr. Weller will finish the school year as Principal at Lincoln and begin some work with grants.
The boards next meeting will be held Monday, January 8th, at 6pm.
