On Tuesday, May 14th Second-Grade students from Lincoln Elementary and Wakefield Elementary paired up with a Middle School student to run in the annual USD 379 Hero Mile at the Clay Center Community Middle School.

Runners took off at the starting line at 12th Street, North of the Middle School, and ran the one-mile route back to the Middle School. After a water break and snacks the Top 10 Boys and Top 10 Girls were awarded a certificate.
