In January of this year, USD 379 Community Engagement Coordinator Matt Weller helped to organize and lead a meeting with 45 stakeholders and community members who reside within the district to determine ways to improve public engagement and transparency.

Weller shared and discussed the results of that meeting during the USD 379 Board of

Education’s July meeting and shared his goals for the next year.

Specific goals include increasing awareness of the USD 379 Board Clerk YouTube page, which uploads recordings of each USD 379 Board Meeting, listing the names of all certified members of staff on school websites, showcasing what students are doing within the classroom, and increasing two-way communication between district administrators and community members.
