Wakefield Bombers Fall in Season Opener at Centre

The Wakefield Bombers began their basketball season on the road Friday night, facing a tough Centre Cougars team. Despite a strong effort, Wakefield came up short, falling 52-36. The loss extends the Bombers’ streak to 21 games, carrying over from last season.

Kingsley Smith led the way for Wakefield with a dominant double-double performance, scoring 16 points and pulling down 17 rebounds. Bradyn Moenning added 10 points and showcased his defensive skills with two steals.

The Bombers will look to regroup as they travel to Solomon for their next matchup on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
