Manhattan Shooting Suspect Apprehended

RCPD has announced that a Manhattan man has been arrested in connection with the shooting that took place on March 3, 2024, at Flint Hills Place. Brannan Turner, 45, was apprehended by the Wichita Police Department yesterday around 10:00 PM.

Wichita PD was able to utilize their license plate reader technology to aid in the arrest of Turner. Through the use of license plate reader AI algorithms, they were able to narrow down the area Turner was in, making the apprehension swift and precise.

Turner faces multiple charges, including attempted second-degree murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and felony flee and attempt to elude. His bond is set at $500,000. Turner is currently confined at the Riley County Jail.

The Riley County Police Department would like to thank the Wichita Police Department for their apprehension of the subject. Further, we want to thank them for the cooperation and professionalism they showed in coordinating the transfer of custody of the subject.
