At around 12:20 AM on April 23, the Riley County Communications Center received a call about a shooting incident in the 1400 block of Watson Pl., Manhattan. Riley County Police Officers were dispatched and discovered a 20-year-old female victim at the scene with a gunshot wound in her abdomen.

The victim was airlifted to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, and no further updates on her condition are available at this moment.

The case is currently under investigation.
