Fort Riley, Kansas – In a collaborative effort between the 1st Infantry Division and Corvias Property Management, 52 new single-family homes were unveiled in the Warner Peterson Neighborhood on Fort Riley.
The initiative aims to enhance the installation’s appeal to soldiers while stimulating the local community. Command Sgt. Maj. Christopher L. Mullinax and Pete Sims, Department of Defense Managing Director at Corvias, spoke at the ceremonial ribbon cutting, emphasizing the partnership’s importance in achieving Army resiliency goals. Since 2006, Corvias has invested approximately $600 million in improvements on Fort Riley, including the development of 2,169 homes.
Additionally, Corvias has made strides in renewable energy, with around 12.3 megawatts of solar power and plans for an additional 4.35 MW in the future. The initiative aligns with the Army Climate Strategy, aiming to deploy a gigawatt of renewable energy projects by 2025 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. The collaboration between Corvias and Fort Riley continues to create an environment where soldiers and their families can thrive.
