American Veteran Traveling Tribute & The Traveling Wall Coming to Concordia in June

By: Ryan Duey

A group of dedicated people are working to bring a veteran and 1st responders tribute to the Concordia National Guard Armory next June. This tribute will feature a wall of names remembering those who have fallen protecting our country and freedoms.

Rita Goodwin, Coordinator of this Project, said she worked to have this wall brought to Concordia 14 years ago, and with 58,000 names being added since that time she felt the need to bring it back to the area.

Goodwin said she is happy to visit with any organization, business, team, or individual about this Remembrance Wall. The Armory has donated the space, and local Legion Riders have agreed to bring the wall to Concordia. They are currently seeking funding to make sure this wall gets to Concordia.
