Barton Community College’s New Ag and Transportation Complex to Open in August with Major Pledge from American Plains Co-op

By Trish Svoboda

The opening of the new Ag and Transportation Complex at Barton Community College is set for August. To support ongoing projects at the complex, the Barton Foundation has received a leadership pledge from American Plains Co-op.

This commitment, spread over three years, will fund the project’s goals and create additional learning opportunities for Barton’s agriculture students. In addition, one of American Plains’ partners has agreed to match the pledge, effectively doubling its impact.

Lindsey Bogner, Executive Director of Institutional Advancement and Director of the Barton Foundation, said that this pledge highlights a shared vision and dedication to fostering growth and sustainability within the agricultural community.

“American Plains Co-op has a long-standing history of supporting Barton, and we are honored to work with them,” she said. “Their leadership pledge underscores their dedication to the future of agriculture and the importance of investing in educational opportunities available in our region.”

The dedication, ribbon cutting, and open house will be held at 4 p.m. July 17, 2024, at the Agriculture and Transportation Complex. The public is welcome to attend. You can find more information at bartonccfoundation.org.
