Cloud County Community College held a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for its new Technical Education and Innovation Center on Friday, August 2nd. The new center will provide access to quality education for careers that are in high demand in Kansas. Programs include nursing, renewable energy, industrial technology, and agriculture.
The building is nearly 35,000 square feet and cost about $17 million. Funding for the center was mostly provided by grants and donations.
United States Senator Jerry Moran and Kansas Lieutenant Governor David Toland attended the grand opening.
Students will be able to see the new center when fall semester classes begin on August 14th.
