Clay County USD 379 Offers Mobile App to Connect Parents, Students, and Schools

By: Elexis Bates

Unified School District 379, Clay County, has created a mobile app for parents and students. The app will track events happening at Clay Center and Wakefield Schools, including lunch menus, and more.

The app, called Clay County USD 379, can be downloaded for free from the online Apple and Google Play stores. The event section lists events throughout the district; users can add any event to their calendar to share the event with friends and family.

The app also allows access to staff directories, breakfast/lunch menus, individual building calendars, social media feeds, and more.

All information is divided by school and is constantly being updated. The names of the official staff members for each building are listed on the website along with their picture so parents know who to contact about their child at school.

The app is easy to navigate and Clay County Connection has provided instructional videos to guide new users step-by-step.

This video tutorial shows how to choose certain school calendars to show in the Events section.

This video shows how to access individual building breakfast and lunch menus on the app and on the website: https://www.usd379.org/
