Clifton-Clyde High School Woodworkers Bringing Back Tradition of Building Sheds for the Community

By: Ryan Duey

The Clifton-Clyde High School Woodworking and Carpentry class is bringing back an over ten-year tradition of building small, outdoor sheds for people of the community.  This project allows community members to have a shed built at a discounted price, while also giving students real-world experience.

Max Schwab, Woodworking Teacher, said this project started when he was a student at Clifton-Clyde.

Schwab said that the sheds are built with no labor costs, all people pay is material costs. Giving community members a chance to get a shed at an affordable cost. Schwab spoke of the continued support for this program.

Visit the Clifton-Clyde Woodworkers Facebook page for more information on the shed project. You can also keep updated on other projects the students are doing in the classroom throughout the year.
