Former Cloud County Community College Thunderbird, Josh Eilert, has now been named the Interim Head Men’s Basketball Coach of the West Virginia Mountaineers.

During his time at Cloud, Eilert was a two-year letterman and one year starter. He earned KJCAA Academic All-America Honors as a sophomore. He then transferred to Kansas State University to continue his education.

During his career at West Virginia, Eilert was in charge of a multitude of different projects. He has directed WVU’s wing and post players, recruited students both on and off campus, scouted opponents, prepared film, coordinated internal operations of the basketball program, and much more.

This past season, Eilert moved into a coaching role as assistant coach. He was also an interim assistant coach during 2016-2017.
