Cloud County Community College will offer adult education and GED classes starting next week, Monday August 14th, at both the Concordia and Junction City campuses. These classes will be open to individuals 16 and older who are not enrolled in school.
The Concordia Campus will offer basic skills and diploma preparation classes afternoons and evenings. The Junction City Campus will offer these classes mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Classes will be small, with both classroom and computer instruction.
Those who attend will have the opportunity to improve basic skills in reading, math, and English. They will also learn employability skills, while earning WorkReady Credentials. Computer skills will also be part of the courses, teaching students basic Microsoft Word and Internet skills. Students can even earn technology certificates.
GED test preparation will also be available at both locations, and The Junction City campus will offer English as a second language classes.
All students must attend orientation before they can enroll in classes. Those intersted should call to schedule an orientation appointment, which can be made for either August 9th or August 10th. Registration for orientation is due tomorrow, August 8th.
