Concordia was one of the biggest 3A schools last year. This changed on Monday, September 25th, when The Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) released the classifications for the year. Concordia is a 4A school now, making them one of the smallest 4A schools in the state.
According to KSHSAA, there must be a minimum of 323 students enrolled to be considered 4A. Concordia reported that they had exactly 323 students enrolled this month, which is what brought the change.
Concordia will continue to compete in class 3A for football with the new two-year football classification cycle.
