Concordia Middle School reopened its doors once again on August 16th of 2023, after extensive renovations were completed. The middle school had been closed for ten years prior to this.

According to U.S. News & World Report, which is known as the global authority in education rankings, Concordia Middle School has been ranked 37th in Kansas middle schools for 2024.

Schools are ranked based on state assessments scores, how well the school is educating their students, and overall achievement in core subjects. U.S. News & World Report also looks at student backgrounds. Then, the student-teacher ratio is considered and applied to determine the overall score and ranking.

Schools officials remain optimistic that they will continue to decrease the achievement gap as the middle school students move onto high school over the next several years.
