DEADLINE JUNE 1st FOR HOPPENSTEDT & CMH FOUNDATION NURSING SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

Community Memorial Healthcare

Applications are now available for Community Memorial Healthcare (CMH)’s Hoppenstedt and CMH Foundation Nursing Scholarships.

The Hoppenstedt Nursing Scholarship, made possible through the Henry W. Hoppenstedt Trust, will be awarded to a student who has been accepted into a registered nursing program at an accredited school of nursing. Awarding the scholarship reflects Hoppenstedt’s high regard for nurses, and is an important way in which CMH can address today’s nursing shortage while assisting those students who are dedicating their careers to the nursing profession. Applicants must be a graduate of a Marshall County High School, have proof of admittance to an accredited nursing program, and meet other eligibility requirements. This scholarship awards funds of $1,000 per semester with a maximum of $2,000 per year.

The CMH Foundation Nursing Scholarship, created to assist Community Memorial Healthcare in its nurse recruitment efforts, will award scholarships to two students in 2025. Recipients receive a lump sum to go towards reimbursement of tuition costs, books, and fees for each semester. For a student in an LPN-ADN bridge program, the scholarship will award up to $5,000 per semester, totaling $10,000 for program for a full-time student. Part-time students will receive $2,500 per semester, totaling $10,000 for the program. For a student in an ADN program, the scholarship will award $5,000 per semester, totaling $20,000 for program for a full-time student. Part-time students will receive $2,500 per semester, totaling $20,000 for the program. Both Foundation scholarships come with a $5,000 one-year bonus and require a 3-year employment commitment at Community Memorial Healthcare.
